OBJECTIVE

My present education has provided me with the background and desire to pursue a further education in Physics.

RESEARCH

Currently, I am working with Dr. Penger Tong on research involving Fluid Dynamics. My present project involves studying the Bragg's scattering of a certain liquid crystal particle to determine the tempurature dependence of the Bragg's Peak for this particle.

EDUCATION

Oklahoma State University (Fall 1997 to present)
Stillwater, Oklahoma
Attending on these five scholarships: State Regents Scholarship, Byrd Scholarship, Daniel Stevens Scholarship, National Merit Stipend, and OSU Regents Academic Distinguished Scholarship. I also have been awarded two NASA Research Fellowship and a Wentz Research Grant to conduct research in Dr. Penger Tong's laboratory.

Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (1995 to 1997)
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Selected for attendance after a rigorous selection process. Completed college level courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and Humanities.

Nathan Hale High School (1993 to 1995)
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Participated on Competitive Academics Team while taking Advanced Placement courses in Humanities.

WORK AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

Manor Care Health Services (Summer 1997)
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Worked as Girl Friday for the Administrator. Responsiblities included filing, helping at meal times, answering phones, creating and updating forms for patient evaluation, and other odd jobs around the office.

Maxwell Park Library (1993 to 1997)
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Volunteered as part of summer teen program. Remained as evening volunteer during school year. Responsible for calling patrons, looking for missing books, shelving books, shelf reading, library clean-up, and shelf checks for patrons.

Maxwell Park Library (Summer 1995)
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Worked as temporary book shelver. Responsibilities included discharging books, reshelving books, shelf reading, and library clean-up.

INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES

Out side of class, I am involved with the Stillwater Linux Users Group as their president, participate in Recycling and Bathroom Babble in my dormitory, and enjoy being my own System Administrator on my Linux Computer. I also love to read, waterski, and write.
